BREAKING: Lombardi, Abbot admit a plan is afoot to give Holy Communion to adulterers and come to an "understanding" with homosexuality

Could it be any clearer? The adulterists and homosexualists are intent on pushing through doctrinal changes under "pastoral" ideas. This is heresy.

An excellent theological discussion of this  "pastoral  solution" within  regional  contexts  is  presented  by  Fr. Paul  Nicholson.

From today's Press Conference held by Holy See Press Office Spokesman, Frederico Lombardi, S.J. a German Abbot was quoted as saying the foloowing by Vatican Insider.

“many of the speeches in the general discussions mentioned the possibility of dealing with questions on the basis of a given cultural context. I would say there were about twenty or so speeches and only two or three were against, claiming that for the sake of the Church’s unity handing over powers would have fatal consequences. I think that in this stage of the discussions, the idea is mostly shared. I, for example am German and it seems to me that the remarried divorces issue is very strongly and widely felt in Germany and much less so elsewhere. This is an area where there could be space for original pastoral ideas, also as far as the understanding of homosexuality goes, an issue that really varies from culture to culture. National Episcopal Conferences could be allowed to search for pastoral solutions that are in tune with their specific cultural context.”

Update: The above quotation is not completely accurate. Please watch the video here of what was exactly said.

Fr. Lombardi may have hit on a good approach in one respect. It would perhaps be "original" for the German bishops in the main, meaning those of the Kasper/Marx school, to preach the Faith in Germany. We all know that disaffection (and defection) marks the Church there, and must ask why that would be the case.

The divorce issue is no more pressing in Germany than elsewhere in the West, extending all the way to the U.S. and Down Under. So the good father clearly dissembles on this point, while claiming special authority in virtue of his German citizenship--a fallacious argument.

Father Lombardi is equally mistaken at casting homosexuality as exclusively a 'cultural' issue rather than its reality: an inherent moral disorder. St Paul was quite aware of cultural differences, yet preached the One True Faith in season and out of season.

It is almost unbelievable, to hear such tripe from the spokesman for the successors to the Apostles.

Please pray, my brothers and all men of good will, to the Blessed Mother to save our Church from such 'churchmen' in control of this Synod. Her Immaculate Heart, and not they, shall triumph.

Why are we so afraid to state the obvious, the real culprit is one Pope Francis!

Perhaps the only real solution is schism with the modernists, let them have their sins that they demand, we can have a smaller but holier Church...

I am 99% sure that the quote is from Abbot Schroeder and not Fr. Lombardi. Fr. Lombardi is not German.

Whoever made the comment, it is in line with the Hegelian Dialectical Materialism in which "the State is almighty and seen as 'the march of God on earth." But now among some in the Catholic Church we are not worshipping the state, but the culture. Pantheism, worship of God in history, has entered Catholic thinking in some circles. Therefore if a homosexual maintains a stable relationship over a period of years (a small miracle in and of itself as they tend to have hundreds of sexual encounters each year), then some of these so-called "Catholic thinkers" believe this is a sign of good in homosexual relationships. Human beings do have good in them even while they are engaged in sinful relationships. But just because someone is able to maintain a stable adulterous or homosexual relationship over decades is not a sign of virtue. I'll bet all of us have clung faithfully to certain sins in our lives over a period of years before we were able through regular confession to give them up entirely, and then only when the Holy Spirit drew us up out of it.
