Our Holy Father Francis, within a few hours will be leading a Prayer Vigil for peace in the Christian heartland of the Middle East, Syria. For Catholics, there is no debate: the Holy Father has spoken - as the the sole voice of faith and morals - war against Syria is gravely sinful and immoral. We Catholics stand with our Holy Father in opposing all war mongers from wherever they come. Sadly, the Office of the President of the United States is occupied by a man who is an inveterate enemy of the Catholic Church. For Americans it is a trying time to have such a man sit in the White House. Do not forget to pray for America. Pray that this madman does not proceed with his insane plan to hand Syria over to Jihadists.
