BREAKING: Fr. Paul Pearson elected Provost of the Toronto Oratory





The Very Reverend Fr. Paul Pearson has been elected Provost of the Toronto Oratory today at their Triennium elections, following the death of the Very Reverend Fr. Jonathan Robinson, Founder of the Toronto Oratory. 

Please keep Fr. Pearson and the Toronto Oratory in your prayers. Please continue to pray for the repose of Fr. Robinson's soul, that he may be admitted quickly into Paradise.

It is heartening to read about Fr. Pearson and the Toronto Oratory. If not for Toronto Catholic Witness, I would have left this world without knowing about the Oratory and its great work. Thanks.

I think I told you before of a good friend, Linda Gardiner, who converted from Anglicanism in her early 20s, and who came under the spiritual guidance of the Oratory in Birmingham, England. This was after 1945. For years her family kept aloof, then her parents and brothers converted. We spoke often of Cardinal Manning and Cardinal Newman. I felt close to the Lord in her presence. R.I.P.

Actually he was a convert from being formerly Mennonite.

Yes, he is a convert. I believe it to be an inspired choice, of God and St. Philip.
