Gavin Ashenden discusses the very grave, spiritual, social, and political implications of the State closing of our churches. Ashenden outlines the argument that the State - at the very least - violated the civil liberties of churches to conduct religious services. The example he gives is that supermarkets remained open, whilst churches were closed.
Ashenden develops the theological reasons as to why the State did NOT have the right to impose a blanket, universal closure of churches. This is not rendering to Caesar what is Caesar's, as Caesar does NOT have power over the Church. As Ashenden says we should "smell evil" when hearing the argument of universal church closure.
The closing of churches WAS a DIABOLICAL attack on the Blessed Sacrament.
The government told us we do NOT have the right to worship, to adore, to be in the PRESENCE of the LIVING GOD.
This surrender, this silence can only be explained by a loss of faith. Nothing else can explain a Catholic's acceptance of the State banning them from being in the PRESENCE of the LIVING GOD.

Over the past two weeks it emerged that illegal and unconstitutional intimidation was being placed upon Cardinal Collins by the City of Toronto and its public health officials. The Cardinal stated that he was being bullied into obeying the edicts of the public health officials, and that they decided how Holy Communion was to be distributed. We now have the following public statement by Fr. Fanourios of the Greek Orthodox Church, which includes the following:
"...the City of Toronto FORBADE Holy Communion for the area of Toronto and it looks like the PERSECUTION OF THE CHURCH CONTINUES"

Dear friends: Premier Doug Ford is not known to be an enemy of Christianity. However, he is but a man, a besieged man. He is also a personal friend of Archbishop Sotirios, whose Greek Orthodox Archdiocese received the "order" from the City of Toronto banning Holy Communion.
I will leave it you dear friends, to speculate if ideology and politics of these public health officials and their leftist political masters has anything to do with the attack on the Greek Orthodox Church in Toronto.
The Premier has many powerful enemies: Mayors (led by the detestable John Tory of Toronto), provincial and federal politicians, "deep state" government bureaucrats and officials, the Toronto Media, and the downtown hard-left jet-setting "elite" all virulently opposed to any inclinations that the Premier would naturally have to stop the attacks on liberty and Christian freedom. We need to telephone, email, besiege the Premier to intervene and ENFORCE the Law (or, if necessary amend it) to protect religious liberty from the various rogue public health officials and their enabling leftist political masters.
We live in a dystopia. The containment of SARS-CoV2 is being carried out not according to the EVIDENCE, but according to ideology, and results not in science, but pseudoscience, if not even an anti-science mentality, turning it into a new superstition, a false religion. Rather than taking care of those who are at serious risk: over 70, those with preconditions, where the disease can be very deadly, public health officials have locked up healthy people, closed the economy, and imposed draconian and dystopian controls over what is supposed to be a "free" society.
Our leading Public Health Officials, are, in the majority not practicing science, but rather a warped sociology of science, which amounts to adhering to ideology. They have perverted science, and become the new "high priests" of a new "religion".
Mario Bunge, the Argentine philosopher of science, in the article "A Critical Examination of the New Sociology of Science - Part 1 [Philosophy of the Social Sciences, 21, 524-560] put it this way:
"scientific truth, whether total or partial, are supposed to be universal rather than the property of this or that group... if a view is only acceptable to the members of some social group, than it is ideological, not scientific. Even when an idea originates within a special group, it must be universalizable to count as scientific. Unless this criterion of scientificity is accepted, it becomes impossible to distinguish science from ideology, psuedoscience, or antiscience..." (Bunge, 1992, p. 51).
An example of ideology at work, and not science, is Health Canada's arbitrary, claim of 2 meters for social distancing, versus the WHO's recommended 1 meters. Both figures cannot be correct. They both could be wrong, one could be right, but both cannot be right.
Another example. We now know that children are not spreaders, and that SARS-CoV2 is LESS dangerous than Seasonal Influenza. This is not ideology, this is objective, universal fact. This is science. Certainly science is always skeptical and subject to revision and improvement, but science is built upon empirical facts, and not ideology. We also know, based on the EVIDENCE
that the IFR for <60 years of age with no underlying conditions is the same as Seasonal Influenza. You begin to see how irrational and ideological this all is.
Schools have been closed and boarded up since March. But should they be? With the WHO claiming a IFR of 3.4% in the initial weeks one could argue that it was rational, but once new EVIDENCE emerged to the contrary, children should have been returned to school. Here we are over THREE months later and still the schools are closed in Canada, the USA, Britain and a number of other countries who have distinguished themselves with the most extreme ideological reactions. The more common sense Taiwanese, South Koreans, Swedes, Norwegians, Austrians, Dutch, Danes, and Finns ... have their schools open. NO spikes, no hospital capacity collapses. Fascinating how three Toronto "rockers": an Eastern Orthodox, a Jew, and a Protestant, could "get it". But our "Catholic" churchmen cannot "get it". I think there is a solution to this riddle. Canadians, never living under a jackboot do not understand this. You think that ticking a ballot box every few years, avoiding jail by keeping your head down and your nose clean, whilst evil abounds and is glorified is "freedom". Dear friends, we should not delude ourselves: we are in a new dark age. We entered it decades ago. Just as a severed branch still has leaves, the initial decay was not discernible to most. The majority of Catholics and separated brethren continued in their delusions. Many still to this day. Politics is not going to save us. Politicians aren't going to save us. Only repentance and conversion to Jesus Christ will offer us the possibility of eternal salvation. Nations come, and nations go. Empires rise, and empires fall. Only Jesus Christ remains the same: yesterday, today, and tomorrow. The first step out of a dark age, as any Christian knows is REPENTANCE. Have we repented? Are we morally and spiritually better or worse than five years ago, ten years ago, twenty years ago? Have our bishops repented and made public reparation? Have our politicians repented on behalf of their Nations and made public acts of worship and repentance? Has the family been strengthened or attacked? We cannot wait for bishops and politicians: because it is not going to happen. We, each of us, must repent, make reparation, and convert. Christianity begins at home.
In a dystopian world, rather than succumb to the insanity, humour can go a long way. Truth to tell, that if these sad churchmen could devote one tenth of the energy they exert for physical cleanliness to spiritual cleanliness, the Catholic Church could rise from Her present state of groveling in the dirt before Her persecutors.

In 1977, Emanuel Jaques, was murdered after suffering many hours of homosexual rape in Toronto at the hands of four maddened deviants. Just as a coach is "hard" on his team to win the race, so too the Church is "hard" on homosexuals as She desires they repent, live chaste lives, and win the race to Eternal life. Difficult as it may be, we must also pray for the conversion of the homosexuals who raped and murdered Emanuel. Pray also for the conversion of all those "Catholics" and "Christians" who have been seduced by homosexual propaganda. Pray for the politicians who have handed themselves over to Satan.
Most importantly we must pray for Catholic school children who have been abandoned by their shepherds, including Cardinal Collins and the Ontario bishops, into the hands of ravenous wolves who occupy positions of authority as teachers, trustees and bureaucrats in the official State funded "Catholic" school system across Ontario. Since late last year of 2019, homosexuality and other assorted sexual perversions (under the umbrella term of "LGBT") are now officially protected, excused, promoted, and declared a "human right" in our once Catholic schools. I must say it again: please pray for the conversion of Cardinal Collins and the Ontario bishops who have "taken the knee" and surrendered to the homosexual juggernaut.
This morning I hoped to watch the Ordinations from the Cathedral. Numerous searches on the Cathedral's website, the Archdiocesan Youtube channel, Facebook, and Twitter revealed nothing at all. I DMed the Archdiocese. Naturally, I received NO response. Why would they reply? I am not a wealthy multi-millionaire donor.

Bishop Ronald Fabbro of London (Ontario), has distinguished himself by BANNING Confession in his Diocese with the commencement of SARS-CoV2.* To add to this great EVIL, we can now reveal that the bishop has been exposed LYING to the faithful. In the screenshot below, Bishop Fabbro claims that the Middlesex-London Health Unit directed him to distribute Holy Communion in the hand only. Bishop Fabbro: "ON THE DIRECTION OF MEDICAL AUTHORITIES, COMMUNION MUST BE DISTRIBUTED ONLY IN THE HAND".

But is this true? Let us see just what Middlesex-London Health Unit published. The following is the entire "Guideline":
The fact is the "guidelines" only mention "avoid activities...drinking from chalice" [but only if shared], and "avoid preparing distributing food and beverages". The "guidelines" do NOT state how Holy Communion is to be distributed, they do NOT even mention Holy Communion at all. There was NO "direction", NO order.
If Bishop Fabbro is interpreting Holy Communion as "food and beverages", (besides the blasphemous flippancy of the godless health authorities) the fact is it is "guidance" and not Law.
Let us be clear, The Premier of Ontario, Doug Ford has issued a Law (O.52/20) and there is NO mention of liturgical rites, NO mention of the Sacraments, NO mention of the the Blessed Eucharist and how it is to be distributed to the faithful. The Premier has not interfered in the Church's Divine Liturgy and Sacraments in any way.
In fact, illegal and unconstitutional meddling, threats and interference has come from rogue public health officials producing "guidelines" and "guidance". It must be added that Middlesex-London has NO authority to comment on and interfere in how priests of the Catholic Church drink the Precious Blood from the Chalice. Nor do they have ANY authority to change Catholic worship in any manner. That authority belongs solely to the Pope, and to those whom he delegates.
Bishop Fabbro should be concerned about this open attack on religious liberty, and he should be publicly rebuking the attempt by these faceless rogue bureaucrats to dare tell the Catholic Church how to conduct Her Sacred Liturgies. One has to ask: what has happened to the Bishop Fabbro of 2005 who rebuked and sanctioned a pro-gay Member of Parliament? Or the Bishop Fabbro of 2018 who stood down Trudeau over abortion? What is going on? Why has Bishop Fabbro become a milquetoast?
Friends, it is a very serious act to publicly reprimand and address a bishop of the Catholic Church as a "liar". But we do so with full appreciation of this act. He has GRAVELY abused the faithful, and he must be called to account. We call upon Bishop Fabbro to confess his public lie and deception of the Catholic faithful, to repent, and to immediately reinstate Confession (which he has diabolically deprived the faithful), and to immediately retract his false, illegal and immoral edict mandating Holy Communion only on the hand.
Finally review the scandalous video put out by the Diocese of London. In it directives are given to priests and "Eucharistic Ministers" [sic] to disinfect their hands if they inadvertently touch a Communicant's hands! This is sacrilege! Gone is the careful and essential rubric of purification with water to ensure that EVERY particle is reverently cared for whilst the REAL PRESENCE dwells under the appearance of bread.
