How can Catholic teachers in Ontario teach morality, when OECTA supports the "...homosexual experience"?

Very soon it will not be possible to state that homosexuality, as the Catholic Church teaches, is an objective disorder in the structuring of human existence.
Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger, April 1, 2005

Following the announcement of the intrinsically evil "Sex Education" program of the immoral Regime that constitutes Ontario's Provincial Government, Church leaders announced that matters pertaining to Catholic morality would be taught according to the Mind of the Church.

Can we be so sure? Let us see what OECTA, - the strident union - that claims to represent English speaking Catholic teachers across Ontario, has to say. According to the above screenshot on the "International Day against Homophobia", OECTA seems to support "a complete, unlimited social acceptance of homosexuality... the social recognition of homosexual experience".

In contrast, the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches:

2357: ... Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered." They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.

Yea Right!!

Who will determine what exactly is this "Mind of the Church"? OECTA of course. It is its own magisterium. Invertebrate bishops will remain silent.

OECTA's Catholicism is a deeply entrenched nominal Catholicism, lacking religious unity and doctrinal integrity. It, OECTA, simply ignores the Catechism on matters of faith and morals with which it disagrees. Imagine liberal Protestantism masquerading as Catholicism. If you can, then you understand OECTA.

We have no Catholic union in Ontario. OECTA should remove the word Catholic from its name. It's false advertising. Somebody should take them to court. But no, we Catholics have a better way: we have learned to negotiate and accomodate everything including doctrine.

Lou

In the US, I believe, a Catholic university, in Seattle, may have its religious accreditation removed by the National Labour Relations Board. Why?? Because it, the university, is simply not Catholic. Perhaps something like that might happen with the Ontario Catholic school system. How long can the hypocrisy go on, before the provincial government says: "C'mon stop the pretense. You are not Catholic." The Catholic school system will slowly implode and coalesce, with the secular system, or to whatever the secular system has mutated at that time. Catholic faith, conviction, the four last things, and the zeal for the salvation of souls, disappeared from Catholic education long ago. It is barely a shadow of its former self.

As the Pope said on Saturday after celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first Novus Ordo Mass by Pope Paul VI -

"And we cannot go back; we must always go forward, always forward and whoever goes back is mistaken. We go forward on this way."

50 years later, everyone seems too far gone to realize they took a wrong turn with Vatican II.
