Is the Sin of Sodom "inhospitality"? Are the phrases coming to "know them" (Gen 19:5), "going after strange flesh" (Jude, 1:7), "vile affections" (Romans, (1: 25) references to (so the dissenters claim) inhospitality and not unnatural lust for the same sex? Have biblical exegetes been wrong for OVER 2000 years?
Were the inspired authors of Sacred Scriptures wrong? Has the Catholic Church been wrong for 2000 years? The historical fact is, that the Kingdom of Sodom and its cities of Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboim were utterly destroyed (c.f. Deuteronomy 29:23) for the sin of homosexuality. Zoar (Bela) was spared for the sake of Lot and his family.

Where are the men which came in to thee this night? Bring them out unto us, that we may know them (Gen. 19:5)
Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. (Jude 1:7)
For
this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even
their women did change the natural use into that which is
against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the
natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward
another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and
receiving in themselves that recompence of their error
which was meet (Rom. 1:26–27)

St. John Chrysostom in his 4th Homily on the Book of Romans deals in great detail on the causes and effects of the sin of sodomy. The great saint, also referencing the Book of Jude writes about homosexuality in this way:
How many hells shall be enough for such? But if you scoff at hearing of hell and believest not that fire, remember Sodom. For we have seen, surely we have seen, even in this present life, a semblance of hell. For since many would utterly disbelieve the things to come after the resurrection, hearing now of an unquenchable fire,God brings them to a right mind by things present. For such is the burning of Sodom, and that conflagration! And they know it well that have been at the place, and have seen with their eyes that scourge divinely sent, and the effect of the lightnings from above. (Jude 7) Consider how great is that sin, to have forced hell to appear even before its time!
God destroys those who engage in the sin of Sodom. It is, one of the four sins that cry to Heaven for Vengeance. Any Catholic who excuses, lessens this sin, if they have not lost the Faith are well on the way to losing it.
Friends, please understand how evil this sin is. God hates homosexuality. It blasphemes the Creator. It blasphemes the Love of the Most Holy Trinity. It mocks - sacrilegiously - the Sacrament of Marriage, which is a reflection of the Unitive Love between the Persons of the Most Holy Trinity. When we begin to understand this, we see just how evil homosexuality is.
God will not be mocked. He destroyed Sodom, and He will destroy each and every Nation - without exception - that does not repent and do penance for the Sin of Sodomy. In fact, God is already in the process of bringing His wrath down upon us. Far worse, than even a war (and I believe a war is coming as a chastisement), is the the near demolition of the Catholic Church.

I think you may have left out a "not" in the last paragraph.
