The Supreme Pontiff, Pope Francis, by his apostolic authority - all laws and customs notwithstanding - hereby conferred upon His Excellency, Mr. Bernard "Bernie" Sanders, United States Senator from Vermont, the title and full dignities of cardinalis laicum, Friday, April 15th, 2016.
His Excellency, Mr. Sanders has been appointed Special Advisor to the Supreme Pontiff as an ex officio Member of the Pontifical Council Justitia et Pax.

Just.the.best.
Look, this situation is becoming grave, and the laity, of which I am one, am becoming more and more confused. What we never thought would happen, couldn't conceive of happening, in our world, in our church, is now happening.
Could we all PLEASE stop using satire as a form of outrage or expression? It is becoming maddening to read things that could possibly be true in this Thunderdome we call the world. Enough!
