Antonio Spadaro S.J., strikes back: The Four Cardinals are "disqualified" - the issue is now closed

As predicted by this blog, the dubia questions raised by the Four Cardinals regarding the permission of accepting Adulterers to Holy Communion has been soundly rejected by the Roman Authorities.

Antonio Spadaro., S.J., the Ghost Writer of Francis', and the de facto "pope" of Rome has rejected out of hand and dismissed the Four Cardinals. In this, I am not surprised, indeed, I predicted it. In no way is Francis and his manipulator, Spadaro in any way inconvenienced.

In an arrogant Tweet from his Twitter feed, Spadaro has reaffirmed Francis' letter to the south American Bishops, and sent a canon blast (no pun intended) towards the four Cardinals.

The issue is now closed.

The "official" Catholic media will now be strongly onside, the bishops of the world cowed; the laity - intoxicated with masturbation (well over 90%, perhaps as high as 95% of the general population), fornication, adultery, contraception, homosexual perversion, and unnatural oral and anal sex (actually onanistic sodomy which is being promoted by the Theology of the Body crowd) - solidly following Spadaro, will blindly accept the "wink-wink" at adultery from this Jesuit and his underlings in Rome.

Be assured that The "Four Cardinals" and their dubia are now a dead issue, and the promotion of adultery is proceeding at full speed.

Once again: we have the Pope we deserve.

This issue is certainly NOT closed. It will only be closed if & when PF imposes it ex cathedra. The pope is not infallible otherwise. We and they know what the result will be if he is forced to do so. These four Cardinals should be supported by the Catholic press instead of jumping to wrong conclusions. The CC is Christ's Church on earth - not PF's, Fr. Spadaro's or any of his other NWO advisers & He will win. He has not abandoned His Church & rumours to that effect are to be discouraged, especially in the Catholic media.

"Once again: we have the Pope we deserve."
I disagree with the above statement.
The Holy Spirit Does not give a heretical Pope to the Church, instituted by Christ to confer grace, forgive sins and teach and govern men in the way to salvation because "we deserve it"!

Evil men conspire to change the Church's teaching by ordaining priests, consecration Bishops, and recommending Cardinals who then elect a Pope of their own kind.

Good Cardinals , Bishops, and priests need to remedy this situation and thanks be to God it seems they are attempting to do just that.

It's so sad, how habits against human co-creative nature, which God eternally brings into being before the creation even of the blessed spirits, much less the world, by the very act of thinking it according to no previous plan ex nihilo; when contravened precipitate extremely adverse consequences. So an act unworthy of mention caused the demise of actress Farah Fawcett-Major. (Yet an alleged expert on this same nature once advocated that act unworthy of mention.)

More apt response would have been:

I agree Ana that this matter is ANYTHING but closed. I do believe there are other steps that follow this one, but if you remember, he has been asked to 'claify' at least twice now, formally. It appears that the Bishops kind of give him an 'out' if he decides to take it, and of course it depends on the way he answers them.

The matter of formal heresy is confusing, and I think Cardinal Burke said that the only thing that made this document (A.L.) not 'from the Chair' was the fact that it is in error of the teaching of the Church. (that statement alone is confusing to me) We will have to wait and see how this plays out.

In a sense this is good because it completely undermines him theologically, and manifests an illegitimacy from which it will be difficult to recover.
Our goal is union with Jesus Christ. This cannot be achieved when enslaved to immorality. The Holy Father's spokesman contradicts the very purpose of the papacy. What is one to conclude?

Just a point: the Holy Ghost does not choose the Pope. Voting Cardinals do that, and they act of their own volition. Now, they are supposed to invoke the help of the Holy Ghost when voting but there is no way of telling if any of them did. We cannot sit back and assume that every man who is elected Pope is elected by Heaven. That would fly in the face of twenty centuries of Church history.

The end of my story over at Spero News shows a real life example of "Amoris Leatitia" being used as a reason for a diocesan staff person to fail to practice the spiritual work of mercy of admonishing the sinner. This admonishment could result in protecting children from being given scandal, or could result in reconciliation of a marriage breakup.

I encountered a link to your blog post via a Twitter discussion about Cardinal Burke. Your comments — that the issue at hand is dead — are interesting.

Are the "Four Cardinals and their dubia a dead issue? Yes...in the sense that the overwhelming majority of God's Holy People will support His Holiness Pope Francis over the "Four Cardinals." Pope Francis enjoys tremendous love and respect throughout the Church. Only a microscopic amount of Catholics harbor the notion that the Pope is heretical.

Amoris Laetitia has been declared orthodox by one bishop after another. They have insisted that the Church's teachings on who may receive Holy Communion will not change as the result of Amoris Laetitia.

In that regard, the "Four Cardinals" are, for all practical purposes, alone among Cardinals and bishops who would support a "correction" leveled against Pope Francis.
"Nobody" will follow the "Four Cardinals" should the Cardinals in question attempt to "correct" Pope Francis.

Is the issue dead in the sense that certain Catholics will cease with their criticisms and concerns in regard to Amoris Laetitia? No. Pope Francis favors open and frank discussion within in the Church. That is what he has permitted in regard to the dubia presented to him by the "Four Cardinals."

Discuss Amoris Laetitia...that is what Pope Francis expects and supports. But the "Four Cardinals" will not force him to cave-in in regard to Amoris Laetitia, which Pope Francis and the overwhelming majority of bishops view as 100 percent orthodox.

Overall, I agree with Toronto Catholic Witness in that the majority of the hierarchy, Faithful, and Catholic news media will side (not because they are sinners or cowed) with Pope Francis.

But Toronto Catholic Witness is correct that the Four Cardinals and their dubia are a dead issue.

P.S. Let us pray for and treat each other with Catholic charity. We need to rally around the Vicar of Christ, Pope Francis, and God's One True Holy Catholic Church.

His Holiness Pope Francis has not responded to the dubia. Certain folks have denounced that as arrogance from Pope Francis...or that the "Four Cardinals" have "trapped the Pope.

Cardinal Burke has rejected such notions. Cardinal Burke said that Pope Francis has actually invited the "Four Cardinals" "to continue the reflection, and the discussion, calmly and with respect. And so we are informing the entire people of God about our initiative, offering all of the documentation."

Pope Francis desires the Holy People of God to, with serenity and charity, to discuss the Cardinals' initiative in question. That reflects beautiful ancient Holy Tradition when clergy, religious, and laity — not just one group — participated in important issues of the day.

I believe that the overwhelming majority of the Holy People of God will (actually, have sided with) side with Pope Francis over the Four Cardinals in regard to the "controversy" at hand...but time will tell about that.

@ Mark Thomas,

Praise God Who is merciful to the invincibly ignorant among us!:

"But he that knew not, and did things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes." Luke 12:48

"And again going out of the coasts of Tyre, he came by Sidon to the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis.
And they bring to him one deaf and dumb; and they besought him that he would lay his hand upon him.
And taking him from the multitude apart, he put his fingers into his ears, and spitting, he touched his tongue: And looking up to heaven, he groaned, and said to him: Ephpheta, which is, Be thou opened.
And immediately his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spoke right." Mark 7: 31-35

May Jesus heal His deaf and dumb servants for the Glory of the Father.

Liam Ronan, thank you for those beautiful and uplifting sacred passages.

Deo gratias that our great God has the sure and certain teaching that will prevent us from embracing heresy: Remain attached to the holy Magisterium via His Roman Pontiff.

Our Lady Destroyer of Heresies calls us to remain attached to the Roman Pontiff's (His Holiness Pope Francis) official teachings. From there, as the Blessed Virgin Mary attests, we will remain free from heresy.

Our Lady Destroyer of Heresies protects the Vicar of Christ, Pope Francis. Deo gratias for God's holy Papacy.

P.S. Please pray for Asia Bibi. She is our persecuted and imprisoned sister. "The Pakistan Supreme Court was to hear Asia Bibi’s appeal in the blasphemy case on October 13th, (2016 A.D.) but the trial was delayed again after one of the judges on the bench recused himself."

Here is a recent story about Asia Bibi.

@ Mark Thomas,

Thank you for your gracious reply. I commend you for your respect for the Petrine office and the Magesterium of the Holy Catholic Church. The commission of the Petrine office to Simon Bar-Jona, i.e. renamed 'Peter' by Our Lord, being made with a promise for Our Lord's Church:

"And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Matthew 16:18

Immediately thereafter, however, Jesus had to sternly chastise this 'Rock', Peter:

"And Peter taking him, began to rebuke him, saying: Lord, be it far from thee, this shall not be unto thee. Who turning, said to Peter: Go behind me, Satan, thou art a scandal unto me: because thou savourest not the things that are of God, but the things that are of men." Matthew 16:22-23

Peter, rebuked as 'Satan' by Our Lord, of course would later deny Our Lord three times. Even the Apostle Judas, personally chosen by Our Lord:

" ...when he had dipped the bread, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. And after the morsel, Satan entered into him." John 13:26

One's personal enthusiasms aside however, I suppose, God forbid, that it is within the realm of possibility that a even a Pope or Bishop or 'apostle' of any stripe may be influenced or even possessed by the Evil One. We shall pray fervently and leave Our Lady Destroyer of Heresies to sort this one out even as we pray fervently that she does so quickly.

As for Asia Bibi, I assure you that I have prayed and continue to pray for her and her family for some time in my daily rosary. I wish Francis would draw the world's daily attention to this matter as vocally and frequently as he does in other political and environmental issues seemingly (if sheer verbiage is the index) closer to his heart.

Liam Ronan,

Thank you for your prayers for Asia Bibi. By the way, In regard to your comment about His Holiness Pope Francis, he has met and prayed with Asia Bibi's family. Her family and her attorney praised Pope Francis' interest in and handling of Asia Bibi's situation.

They exhorted Pope Francis not to speak publicly about Asia Bibi.

Joseph Nadeem, Asia Bibi's attorney:

"An appeal from the Pope would cause quite a few problems for us right now. Let us recall the violent way in which fundamentalists reacted to Benedict XVI’s words.

"We know Pope Francis is close to us.

"But any public appeal he makes, even though it is made in good faith, will do nothing to help Asia Bibi’s safety nor will it help ensure her release.

"Instead we must trust in diplomacy as a weapon."

Mark Thomas, I admit I cannot comprehend anyone so devoted to the pope that they would support a papacy that so undermines the Catholic faith as it has been taught and understood for 2000 years. It appears, and I certainly could be wrong, that no matter what Pope Francis says or does, you will support him.
I admit, personally, I want very much to support the pope, but apparently, I will draw the line when that pope departs from revealed truth as much as this pope has. At that point, we part ways, and I pray for Cardinals who will issue a sharp corrective. Barring that success, I must pray that either "God opens his eyes or closes them for good", lest souls be lost due to his egregious errors. I think of criticizing a pope with some fear and trembling, and only knowing that God knows my heart comforts me, but I also know that this life is the only time we shall ever have to defend Christ and His teaching. There will be no other. When our eyes close in death, we can never again do one thing to show Our Lord we love Him. If I must err, I must err on the side of defending Him.

Kathleen1031,

As a Catholic, I am called to obey the teachings of Holy Mother Church. However, as I am, unfortunately, a sinner, I am ashamed to say that I've fallen short many times in that regard. Nevertheless, I am called to embrace Church teaching.

Jesus Christ taught that those who hear His Pope hear Him. I most certainly accept that.

The Church teaches that we may express (respectfully) our concerns to our Pope. I have concerns about certain prudential policies that His Holiness Pope Francis has promoted. But I don't harbor those concerns at the expense of having discarded the submission that I owe to the Vicar of Christ, Pope Francis.

Kathleen, I "adhere with religious submission of will and intellect to the teachings which either the Roman Pontiff or the College of Bishops enunciate when they exercise their authentic Magisterium, even if they do not intend to proclaim these teachings by a definitive act." (Profession of Faith.)
