The Ontario Human Rights Commission (OHRC) chairwoman Renu Mandhane, has sent a threatening letter on behalf of the OHRC, to the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB), implicitly threatening legal action against the TCDSB, unless the TCDSB passes an amendment to it's Code of Conduct to include: "gender identity, gender expression, marital status and family status...".
"Gender ideology" is in direct opposition to Catholic religious belief and teaching on human sexuality, and how sexuality is to be lived by Catholics. The OHRC whilst on the one hand, preaching pluralism and "diversity" in matter religious, wishes to "privatize" the Catholic Faith, and thrust Catholics into the proverbial closet. These are tried and true totalitarian practices that were enforced in Soviet Russia, Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany. Students of history will notice the eerie similarities between the OHRC attack and the attempts by the fascists to suppress Catholic education in Italy in the 30s.
A cursory glance through the official Catechism of the Catholic Church, can put to rest the OHRC plot to strong arm the TCDSB to abandon Catholic education by accepting into its Code of Conduct ideologies that are diametrically opposed to Catholic Faith and Morals. The authority of the Catechism for Catholics is undeniable.
In his Apostolic Constitution, Fidei Depositum, Pope John Paul II wrote:
The Catechism of the Catholic Church, which I approved 25 June last and the publication of which I today order by virtue of my Apostolic Authority, is a statement of the Church's faith and of Catholic doctrine, attested to or illumined by Sacred Scripture, Apostolic Tradition and the Church's Magisterium. I declare it to be a valid and legitimate instrument for ecclesial communion and a sure norm for teaching the faith. May it serve the renewal to which the Holy Spirit ceaselessly calls the Church of God, the Body of Christ, on her pilgrimage to the undiminished light of the kingdom!
To change such teaching on Catholic sexual morality within the context of Catholic education would be to suppress Catholic education. To do so is a violation of our constitutional rights as guaranteed at Confederation and in the Charter.
Friends, let us not be naive. These people are fascists. First they will come for Toronto. If Toronto falls, they will take the entire Province. Catholic education will be dead in Ontario.

Catholics constitute the largest Christian denomination in Canada, being 38.7 per cent of the country's population. Have I got that right, Barona?
Renu Mandhane must be told in the boldest of terms: Stop these threats, and accept that there is a diversity of opinion regarding 'gender ideology'.
Catholics in unison can tell Mandhane: 'We have a very different world-view from you, and we will NEVER betray our beliefs to suit today's fashion. Respect our right to educate our children in the Catholic way as we have done for generations, or face a state of continual conflict.'
The culture wars were largely initated by 'left-modernists' to use a term of the political scientist Eric Kaufmann, a native of Vancouver. He writes that 'left-modernist ideology penetrated widely within the high culture and political institutions of Western societies after the 1960s.' (Page 3 of Kaufmann's book, 'White Shift' 2018.)
The left-modernists are at once fascist and Stalinist, or cultural Marxist, to use Jordan Peterson's term.
Mandhane is a bully.
