Canada's slow descent into Fascism

Many of you may have already seen the video of the Christian pastor David Lynn, who street-preached at the recent Toronto Gay Pride Parade. In my own review of the situation, I see a grave danger on police interpreting law, and in police deciding/enforcing state social policy, and in police violating personal liberty. We've seen all this before in various degrees: the Cheka, the NKVD, the KBG, the Gestapo, the Red Guards etc., etc. Use of police to enforce State ideology - the will to power - is fascism. Don't take my word: read Mussolini.

I am providing a link to a number of videos. Two provide background material, and three provide historical documentation on two particularly odious police forces: the vicious Soviet secret police in its various manifestations, and the equally repulsive Gestapo. The latter should concern us more, for Weimar Germany was an advanced nation; parallels to Canada and other western nations are obvious. People in Germany, prior to the rise of Adolf Hitler, would have been horrified if someone had suggested that within a few years the demonization of one particular ethnic group would lead to wholesale slaughter. Likewise, in Canada, a few years ago, if someone had suggested that the police would harass a Christian and accuse him of "hate" - all the while turning a blind eye to criminal acts being committed (e.g. public nudity) due to state sanctioned ideology - one would have been incredulous at such a proposition. Yet such is the present day reality. That police may enter upon a situation that may turn violent, and warn, suggest that persons should reconsider for reasons of personal safety is one thing. That police should enter upon a situation and focus on political ideology is a totally different thing: the enforcement of political ideology by police is a fascistic act. We are in a transitional phase into a State-enforced ideological authoritarian political entity. The next phase is totalitarianism. To watch the videos, please click on the video captions.

"...what is happening also at the level of politics and government... is the sinister result of a relativism which reigns this way democracy, contradicting its own principles, effectively moves towards a form of totalitarianism. The State is no longer the "common home" where all can live together on the basis of principles of fundamental equality, but is transformed into a tyrant State...when this happens, the process leading to the breakdown of a genuinely human co-existence and the disintegration of the State itself has already begun.
...This is the death of true freedom: "Truly, truly, I say to you, every one who commits sin is a slave to sin" (Jn 8:34). Pope John Paul II (Evangelium Vitae, Sec.20).

The important thing to remember here is that the police dealing with Pastor Lynn are not goose stepping Nazi thugs but well intentioned people doing a job. It is fairly easy to distance yourself from evil by covering it with an ugly mask and saying that it can't happen here because we are too nice. When they finally come to drag you away, they will be polite and smile and it will be for your own good. It's the Canadian way...Fascism with a smile!

The police is under the control of the Toronto Police Services Board. See here to comprehend the real problem.

"All men, whether they are believers or not, are called to recognise the needs of human nature as expressed by natural law, and find inspiration in it when they formulate positive legislation, i.e. the laws that civil and political authorities issue to regulate human relations."

"When natural law and the responsibilities it implies are denied," the Pope insists, "the path is opened wide towards ethical relativism at the individual level and state totalitarianism at the political level. The defence of man's universal rights and the affirmation of human dignity require a foundation. Is natural law not that foundation with the non-negotiable values that it entails?"

Quoting from John Paul's encyclical Evangelium vitae, the Pope concluded his address saying, "The future of society and the development of a healthy democracy require the rediscovery of essential and native, human and moral values, which come from man's own truth and express and protect human dignity, which are values that no individual, majority or state can ever create, change or destroy, but can only recognise, respect and promote.

The State therefore should promote Natural law. It must promote something or a vacuum ensues.
