A trend throughout history denotes the incompetent, the inept, the arrogant, the self-serving politician when called for actual leadership defaults towards authoritarianism. So it is with the Toronto downtown elitist, Mayor (in spirit a Kreisleiter) John Tory.
Just this morning, and with arrogant malice in his voice, Kreisleiter Tory proclaimed that the police should raid a family run BBQ restaurant "Adamson Barbeque", (who will be daring to open today from 11-4 p.m.) and "throw the book at them".
This is the kind of vile, hateful man Kreisleiter John Tory is. A man (already a millionaire) who has not forgone his salary since March; nor has his militant City Council, or the "public health" apparatchiks; all the while shuttering thousands of businesses and reducing them to bankruptcy and penury.

These are the kind of people who morphed from pompous, opportunistic preening amoral popinjays in the late 20s to Nazi party members by the mid 30s. All across the world there are innumerable examples of police who within months have gone from serving and protecting to behaving like Brownshirt street thugs, to even like the Gestapo. This is how fast a nation can slip into authoritarianism, which is just a hop, skip, and a jump away from totalitarianism.
Action Item: Visit the Adamson BBQ website, and reserve a table. At least call them up and order a takeout. They are doing the heavy lifting, whilst most are, with face diaper on, hiding under their beds. Get a grip people, get a life.
