Pope Francis on Paris attack: it is part of a "piecemeal third world war"

Pope Francis has called the attack on Paris part of a "piecemeal third world war". The question remains: the response? More Freemasonry - as exemplified in the public statements following the attacks by Hollande, Obama and Cameron (e.g. our "values", "freedom", "democracy" etc.), or a return to Catholicism. The Pope is quoted as saying: 

I am close to the people of France, to the families of the victims, and I am praying for all of them,” Pope Francis said.  “I am moved and I am saddened. I do not understand, these things hard to understand.”
