A church burnt to the ground by Islamic terrorists in Africa Why are the clerical talking heads so SILENT on the Islamic slaughter of Africans? |
Though the neo-modernist, clerical-talking heads love to quote the Pope when it serves their adulterist and homosexualist agenda, they are silent when the Pope exposes their hypocrisy. They simply refuse to look in the mirror and proclaim "mea culpa" for their jet-set life styles, their incessant hobnobbing with "celebrities" etc., etc.
In the slums of Africa, Pope Francis put the finger on why the neo-modernist western "church" is in virtual free fall. It is "anaesthetized by unbridled consumption..." Every day we see examples of this spiritual "anesthetic" at work: it may be the promotion of homosexuality, or adultery - both under the guise of "pastoral" outreach. It may be sanctimonious tears and noise over the Syrian "refugees" - all the while maintaining a HUGE silence over abortion. Or silence on the incessant slaughter of Africans at the hands of Boko Haram. It may the condescending racism towards African Christians for opposing sin.
So the delusion of these men continue - puffed up with the monies donated by the widows, these men hide themselves away in ivory towers, away from the sufferings of the world, away from getting their hands dirty by visiting and living amongst the poor. Quick to condemn others for not being "pastoral", they are the least pastoral of all. You will not find them doing parish work, serving at the soup kitchens, on pro-life pickets, visiting the shut-ins, the widows, visiting hospitals, prisons; sitting for hours in the Confessional, leading Holy Hours and Devotions, teaching catechism - going out to peripheries. You will find them on television, in the internet, in the universities, on the lecture circuit. You will find them in the papers, the magazines. You will find them promoting and congratulating each other. You will find them with the rich and famous. You will find them with the world, the flesh and the devil.
Pope Francis. Address at the Kangemi slum
