The Pope's LAST gesture of the year was to CANCEL a visit to St. Peter's Nativity Scene.

For his last gesture of the year, Pope Francis "cancelled" his visit to the Nativity Scene in St. Peter's under the official pretext of "dis-encouraging crowds".

However, he did NOT "cancel" the Vatican's collaboration with the World Economic Forum. The following address by Cardinal Turkson, reading the very words of Pope Francis, reflects the absolute devotion to, and promotion of the MASDU. You will notice that NOT once does the Pope mention the Holy Name of Jesus. Even his  opaque reference to "God" is in the context of this "god"(?) "blessing" the work of the WEF.

In truth, this speech is a hymn to the spiritual animation of universal democracy, as predicted by the Abbe de Nantes, a man-centred ideology that is intrinsically opposed to anything Christian.

By the way, the WEF is fanatically pro-abortion. Crickets from Rome.

May St. Thomas Beckett inspire cowardly bishops to stop being lackeys of the godless State

St. Thomas Beckett, contrary to propaganda, did NOT die for "religious liberty". That extremely dangerous and blasphemous idea, where all religions are equal and not very important, the State neutral in matters religious, appeared hundreds of years later in the writings of Freemasons, in which this idea is the cornerstone of their counter-church. Liberty is "a power perfecting man" (Libertas, Leo XIII), and what is not true, no man has a right to, let alone to propagate it in public. Paradoxically, "religious liberty" where established becomes the de facto State religion (leading to disintegration and societal collapse). St. Thomas Beckett, unlike today's modern bishops, had a firm grasp on the rights of Christ the King and His Church over the State. Unlike today's bishops, St. Thomas was aware, and acted accordingly, when the State (even wayward Catholics, such as the King) attempted to interfere with the rights of the Church.

One can imagine St. Thomas' horrified reaction to the modern bishop's never ending surrender to State control over the local church. Or the modern bishop's near deafening silence over State glorification and promotion of pre-natal infanticide, the murder of the elderly, and the glorification of sexual immorality (even to the point of profaning marriage, and denying human sexuality). St. Thomas would not have been surprised that such cowardly and wayward bishops would lock Catholics out of their churches and join the authoritarian, neo-pagan State, even joyfully taking its money (for a price of course).

Let us now jump forward from the 12th century to the 21st.

In 2020, for example, the Catholic Church in Canada became the Catholic Church OF Canada; in essence the "spiritual animator" for the new "humanism". We should not be surprised with the ease of their capitulation. In fact, they had already been for decades flirting, even copulating with the State.

The late, saintly Abbe de Nantes (persecuted by the Roman churchmen) called this lust for the new "humanism" the "MASDU":" MOVEMENT FOR THE SPIRITUAL ANIMATION OF WORLD DEMOCRACY, MASDU (Mouvement d’Animation Spirituelle de la Démocratie Universelle). He outlined this politico-spiritual utopia from its origins in the compromisers with masonic revolution, Lamennais and Sangier; to be developed by Jacques Maritain in his "Integral Humanism" (inspired by American so-called "religious liberty"). In essence, since 1776 and 1789, the vast majority of churchmen have concluded that masonic principles are the winners,  and that Catholics should join the winners' side. Thus a never ending stream of compromises and betrayals (Americanism, Canadianism, Modernism, nouvelle theologie etc.). Thus Gregory XVI's Mirari Vos is an outrage of anti-liberalism, Pius IX's Quanta Cura, The Syllabus have to be buried or "reinterpreted", Leo XIII's Libertas, Immortale Dei, and Humanum Genus are the rantings of a deluded old man. And so on. Need I mention that Pius XI's Quas Primas was dead off the printing press? But these holy popes were doing nothing but preaching the Gospel; nothing but informing us that (as Pius XI noted) social modernism was as dangerous and perverse as doctrinal modernism. In fact, they are evil twins.

With this in mind, and realizing that virtually every bishops alive either rejects or "reinterprets" the above mentioned unchangeable Catholic teachings, let us see what the main points of the MASDU are, so as to understand the mindset of bishops who would so easily betray the Church into the hands of "sinful men"  (Matt 26:45).

 The Abbe de Nantes wrote:

This system can be broken down into three parts, to which there is to be added one important corollary:

1° - It is not simply the Church and Christendom which form the “ unit of Salvation ”, but mankind as a whole.

2° - The new Gospel of this community is the Declaration of the Rights of Man, with its trilogy of Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity.

3° - The building of a World Democracy is the analogy here on earth of the Kingdom of God, and it is to be attained through the coming of Justice and Peace, in Truth and Love.

And the Corollary: that the function of Religion – by which is to be understood a union of all the existing religions – is to provide inspiration and Spiritual Animation for mankind thus regenerated.

Is the above not the "Gospel" of Pope Francis, Cardinal Cupich et al; bringing decades of sliding and compromise to a logical conclusion? When you understand that their minds are seeped in the "humanism" of the MASDU, you immediately understand why they demand the Sacraments have to go.

Thus you can understand why churchmen so readily surrendered to the State, boarded up their churches, crushed the faithful, denied Extreme Unction, pushed the experimental drugs, took the State money; even went beyond the pagan secular Authorities in their eagerness to lock us out of OUR churches! Simply, they were trying to show the world that they too had the "cult of man". They were manifesting their readiness to called upon by the globalist elite as the local "spiritual animator for universal democracy."

For a complete exposition of the MASDU, please see here. And do not forget to offer a prayer for the soul of the saintly Abbe.

Happy Feast Day dear friends, let us make merry that St. Thomas is in Heaven. And let us, like him, never contemplate departing from our Holy Mother, the Church, no matter how evil a churchman may be!

"Then Herod ... killed all of the male children that were in Bethlehem and in all the borders thereof, from two years old and under." (Matt. 2.16)

In honour of today's feast, that of the Holy Innocents, we post this reflection on the day given by Bishop Challoner. The above painting is by Gustave Dore.

Consider first, that the Son of God, who was born into this world to be the Saviour of the world, was no sooner born, but he began to be persecuted by the children of this world. The wicked king Herod, to secure to himself and his family the temporal kingdom of Judea, seeks the life of this new-born king - of whose birth he had been informed by the sages of the East - and in order to compass his impious design, employs both craft, and (when this was eluded) open violence, by the barbarous massacre of the innocents. But all to no other purpose than to show how vain are the designs and efforts of men against the decrees of God; according to that of the wise man, Prov. xxi. 30, 'There is no wisdom, there is no prudence, there is no counsel against the Lord.' Our new-born Saviour, by divine admonition, was carried away to Egypt, out of the reach of the tyrant, and all his barbarity only served to render the birth of the Messias more illustrious, by spreading the fame of it through all the world, and to crown at the same time so many innocent martyrs; whilst, for his own part, it brought a perpetual odium upon his infamous memory, which no length of tie can ever efface, and drew down most terrible judgments (within the compass of a year) upon his head; and as to his numerous family, for which he was so solicitous, they quickly lost the kingdom, and were in a short time totally extirpated. O see, Christians, how sad a thing it is wilfully to fight against our Saviour by known sin, and how dismal the consequences are of all such undertakings.

Consider 2ndly, that we read, Matt. ii. 16. &c., 'Then Herod, perceiving that he was deluded by the wise men, was exceeding angry, and sending, killed all the male children that were in Bethlehem and in all the borders thereof, from two years old and under.' These, my soul, are the Holy Innocents, whose feast we celebrate this day as happy martyrs, bearing testimony, not by their words but by their blood, to the birth of the Son of God. These are the first victims, immolated as so many lambs, to illustrate the coming of our Lamb of God, born into this world to take away the sins of the world. These are the first flowers of the martyrs, cropt in the very bud by the impious persecutor of Christ; these the first-fruits produced by the coming of our Lord, and presented by him to his Father, to be followed afterwards by that abundant harvest out of all nations of innumerable glorious champions of Christ, who should maintain his cause by the testimony of their blood. To these the church applies in the lesson of this day that of Apoc. xiv. 4, 5, 'These are they who were not defiled with women: for they are virgins. These follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were purchased from among men, the first-fruits to God and to the Lamb: and in their mouth there was found no lie; for they are without spot before the throne of God.' O let us honour these first martyrs of the Son of God.

Consider 3rdly, that purity, innocence, and temporal sufferings are by divine appointment the way to eternal happiness. By this road the Holy Innocents arrived thither. O how happy are all they that are walking in this road! See then, Christians, how greatly you are deceived in flying so much from sufferings, since these are to bring you to your God. There was lamentations and great mourning in Bethlehem of the mothers of the Holy Innocents: they were not to be comforted because they had lost their children. In the meantime there was a great joy in heaven for their happy transmigration to a region of endless bliss. Thus, when the world is sorrowful, heaven rejoices; because the sufferings of this short time produce for the sufferers an eternal weight of glory in that blessed kingdom, whereas they that are without sufferings are in danger of never coming thither.

Conclude to embrace whatsoever share may be appointed for thee in the sufferings of this life, as designed by divine Providence to help thee to heaven. Assure thyself that thy God knows what is best for thee, and that he sends thee what he knows to be the best. Had not the Innocents been brought to God by the means of their sufferings they might have lived to have crucified their Lord, and instead of being eternally happy, might have been eternally miserable.

Our Sacred Ancient Rites reflects the Unity of the Divine and Human in Christ Jesus

Dear Catholic friends, the Mass/Divine Liturgy/Holy Qurbana is not to be trifled with. The Holy Mysteries are organic outgrowths of a human culture, imbued with the Divine. As Our Lord Jesus Christ is both God and Man, so too, in an analogous manner, the Sacraments are both Divine and human. Divinity blesses us through seemingly natural human means: bread, wine, gesture, word, song. But these elements and more emerge from human cultures that have organically grown over the centuries. A Catholic culture will give birth to Catholic worship. Thus the Church is not a rigid mono-form, but, to the contrary, a brilliant flowering of liturgies, reflecting something of the variety of Man. Hence the Church has besides the Roman Rite, other Latin Rites (really "usages" as Davies would say): amongst them the Sarum, Dominican, Ambrosian etc. In the east, the Divine Liturgies reflect the cultures out of which (e.g.) emerged such fathers as St. John Chrysostom and St. Basil.

In our day, with the attack on the Tridentine Roman Liturgy by the Pope (an attack on the very Mass of Rome itself), we should all the more demand the Liturgical Rites of our forefathers. If there is any "reform" it is back to the ancient Rites! It was a tragedy that when the English and Welsh hierarchy was reestablished that the Sarum usage was not reinstated. Likewise it is a tragedy that the traditional Ambrosian Rite was stolen from northern Italians and Swiss by the delinquent Romans.

Friends, the churchmen at one point took very seriously the sacred Rites. For example, one was bound to one's Rite at birth. I might attend and love the beauty of the eastern Rites, but I cannot change my Rite unless I bring a grave reason before my bishop. When a woman married a man, she, if of a different Rite, was transferred to his Rite. Thus a Latin woman in marrying a Byzantine, became a Byzantine. In this manner the Church ensured familial unity, whilst honouring all ancient Rites.

Dear friend: you were baptised in the ancient Roman Rite, or an ancient eastern Rite? Remain faithful to your forefathers. Do not try to wander from one Rite to another like a protestant (as if you can without your bishop's permission leave your Rite!); remain in the Rite that was gifted to you by the Holy Spirit, and to which you belong. Fight for your Rite, do not betray it! For those of you baptised in the baptismal Rite created in the 1970s, return to the traditional Latin Rites of your forefathers.

Eastern Catholics do NOT trust the churchmen in Rome, they will seek to demolish your ancient Rites, as they have demolished the Rite I was baptised into. If they despise the Rites of their parents and grandparents, what care do you think they have for the Divine Liturgies brought to heavenly glory by the ancient Church fathers? Just as they brutally attacked the Mass brought to its glory by the incomparable St. Gregory the Great, so too these spiritual barbarians would seek to destroy the glorious liturgies of the equally incomparable St. Basil the Great and St. John Chrysostom.

May St. John the Evangelist, whose Feast Day is today, give us the love for the Divine Mysteries that he had. May his devotion to the Divinity of the Word made Flesh, inspire us to devotion to the ancient, sacred liturgies that reflect the Incarnation.

Francis and Traditionis Custodes: This attack on Catholic Tradition ends any possible reunion with the Orthodox

The Pope and International Financiers. Another betrayal for 30 pieces of silver

When Pope Benedict released not ONLY the Tridentine Mass, but also the Sacramental life of the vast majority of Latins, his action was welcomed by the eastern churches. Now, with the recent papal attack on the ancient liturgy of the Latins, the separated easterners are openly mocking us; even going so far as to take the words of Vatican I out of context and claim the Roman Church set up the Pope as an absolutist Monarch. Though these easterners are ignorant of true Catholic Tradition,  they ironically raise a good point: the papal actions ARE a perversion of Vatican I; the actions are being seen as those of a brutal tyrant, rather than that of a loving "papa".

The easterners are well aware that a Pope and Curia who can openly attack the Rites of the Latin Church, can just as easily attack and pervert the Rite of the eastern churches. Indeed, it is foolishness to think that reunion would not bring about a call to "update" the Divine Liturgies of Sts. John Chrysostom and Basil. They are also well aware of the degenerate "West" and want none of it; they do not want their nations perverted and handed over bound and gagged to be stripped of the last vestiges of Christianity, as they are doing in America and western Europe; turning these nations into cesspools of degeneracy and moral filth. Hence the constant demonisation of Russia and Orthodoxy by the same criminals who wish to eliminate the rising strength of orthodoxy.

Open to reflection is why the Roman churchmen would launch this violent attack now. Is it a "payoff" to their oligarch financial masters who keep turning up at the Vatican? Is the "church" of "mercy, surprises, and the poor", really just the spiritual animator for the humanist neo-paganism of the globalists (as predicted five decades ago by the late saintly, Abbe Georges de Nantes?). After all, are not the Roman churchmen in lockstep with their masters on every existential issue? From open pushing of climate alarmism, covid alarmism, UN Sustainable Development, lockdowns, techno-authoritarian statism, and corporate neo-fascism to glaring silence on the demolition of the family, the glorification of sexual perversion, the destruction of natural law, family rights, and small business. Is the attack on Catholic tradition part of the ramping up of the attacks by the globalists under the fraud of covid alarmism? Just what were the requests of the international financiers who populate the marble halls of the "Apostolic" palace?

In conclusion, as we reflect on our suffering brothers and sisters in Quebec City who have been locked out of their churches - not by Nazis, communists, or brigands - but by their very own Judas bishop - let us also realize that this act of spiritual sadism could have been stopped with one phone call from Rome. Lacroix's monstrous evil is shared in by the pope, his nuncio, and to a degree by the other Canadian bishops who sit by like mute dogs. By their silence, they are complicit in this crime.

Friends, Catholic Tradition is NOT going anywhere. I implore you to only attend traditional Catholic liturgies this Christmas and beyond. Do NOT be intimidated by the cruelties of the churchmen in Rome. Seek out priests who offer the Sacraments in the manner of our forefathers, in the manner which Sts. such as Maximilian Kolbe and Padre Pio offered them.

Let us implore St. Stephen to bless our French-Canadian brothers and sisters. Likewise, let us implore him to pray for the conversion of the pope, the bishops; just as he prayed for Saul's conversion as he was being martyred at the hands of the maddened mob.

Cardinal Gerald Lacroix: NO Mass, NO Christmas, NO Epiphany FOR YOU!

I'VE JUST PLACED QUEBEC UNDER A CORONA INTERDICT!

The Catholics of Quebec have Judas Iscariot's "spiritual son" loose in their midst: he is the Archbishop of Quebec, sitting, nay profaning and desecrating the cathedra of the sainted Francois de Laval.

His pretext for boarding up churches for the SECOND year in a row is "omi-cold" (omicron), a coronavirus variant that seems to have genetic components of SARS-CoV2 and other RNA viruses (e.g. enteroviruses). Contrary to the lies being spread, gene therapy-based vaccines - given the spike protein specific design - are useless against this common cold (as are vaccines against any constantly mutating coronavirus) being pushed as a new killer "black death" virus. Hence, the lock downs, the demolition of civil liberties, the destruction of small business, the pushing of the techno-authoritarian State, the glorification of fascism, and most importantly, the attacks on the public worship of God.

So, in light of this massive fraud perpetrated by the neo-feudal oligarchs, their political and presstitute pawns, we have them being joined by the very men who should be standing up and exposing this evil. Alas, we have the churchmen, from the pope on down working as agents for this neo-feudal new world order.

So it was that a couple of days ago, the long suffering remnant of Catholics in Quebec City awoke to read a letter from Gerald Lacroix informing them that he had taken the decision to place them under an interdict; suppress all Masses to at least January 10th because such Masses are "risky gatherings". Further, denying Catholics of Mass and the Sacraments is, according to this cretin, "...a strong gesture of solidarity" with "vulnerable people" and the "entire health network...". My, my, I had no idea that suppressing the Holy Mysteries was beneficial to the vulnerable etc.

The morbidly obese Lacroix (can anyone explain why SO MANY bishops are obese, with multiple comorbidities?), not content with knifing the faithful, proceeds to spit in their faces with a brazen corrupting of history. This creature informs Catholics he is but merely doing what the bishops did during the Spanish Flu Crisis, claiming it was a "similar situation". He is LYING!

Yes, the churches were briefly closed, but Lacroix left out the CRUCIAL fact: over 150 people were dying per day in Montreal (in today's numbers that would be 1000+ per day) for a period of two weeks.

But it gets worse, far worse: HE ALSO LEFT OUT THE SPIRITUAL RESPONSE.

During the Spanish Flu the Blessed Sacrament was carried through the streets; priests brought the Blessed Sacrament to the faithful in their homes. The faithful were encouraged to pray the Rosary every day. All of these are completely absent in the Letter. Lacroix does NOT even mention the Holy Name of Jesus, even less proclaiming he will lead a Eucharistic Procession through the streets of Quebec City, and that all priests will be ordered to bring Holy Communion to the faithful.

Friends, we should thank Almighty God for using corona to smoke out these wolves in sheep's clothing. Let us keep Quebec Catholics in our prayers. Also, let us never, for ONE MOMENT think of leaving the One, Holy, Roman, Catholic, and Apostolic Church, outside of which there is no salvation

The episcopal seats may but be briefly occupied by the spiritual heirs of Caiphas and Judas, but we must stay with our Mother the Church in Her dark hour of need. She needs US by Her bedside; not these evil, wicked creatures, who in their words and action declare themselves with each passing day to be the enemies of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Merry Christmas to all of our readers!

Christmas is almost here - that wonderful night when the Christ Child was born. It is amazing to think of how much this event was anticipated by the Old Testament and the angels, the latter of whom, if I may be permitted to use my imagination, waited with bated breath for that moment of His Birth.

With that in mind, we here at Toronto Catholic Witness wish all of our readers a Merry Christmas. 2021 has had its ups and downs, to be sure, but the Christ Child's birth is a tender reminder that hope springs eternal - no matter if it is in season or out of season.

Merry Christmas - and may the hope of the Christ Child remain in your hearts always.

"Come, sing the Lord's praise with me, let us extol his name together." (Ps. 33:4)

1
(Of David, when he feigned madness at the court of Abimelech, so that Abimelech sent him away, and he escaped. )
2

At all times I will bless the Lord; his praise shall be on my lips continually.
3

Be all my boasting in the Lord; listen to me, humble souls, and rejoice.
4

Come, sing the Lord’s praise with me, let us extol his name together.
5

Did I not look to the Lord, and find a hearing; did he not deliver me from all my terrors?
6

Ever look to him, and in him find happiness; here is no room for downcast looks.
7

Friendless folk may still call upon the Lord and gain his ear, and be rescued from all their afflictions.
8

Guardian of those who fear the Lord, his angel encamps at their side, and brings deliverance.
9

How gracious the Lord is! Taste and prove it; blessed is the man that learns to trust in him.
10

It is for you, his chosen servants, to fear the Lord; those who fear him never go wanting.
11

Justly do the proud fall into hunger and want; blessing they lack not that look to him.
12

Know, then, my children, what the fear of the Lord is; come and listen to my teaching.
13

Long life, and prosperous days, who would have these for the asking?
14

My counsel is, keep thy tongue clear of harm, and thy lips free from every treacherous word.
15

Naught of evil cherish thou, but rather do good; let peace be all thy quest and aim.
16

On the upright the Lord’s eye ever looks favourably; his ears are open to their pleading.
17

Perilous is his frown for the wrong-doers; he will soon make their name vanish from the earth.
18

Roused by the cry of the innocent, the Lord sets them free from all their afflictions.
19

So near is he to patient hearts, so ready to defend the humbled spirit.
20

Though a hundred trials beset the innocent, the Lord will bring him safely through them all.
21

Under the Lord’s keeping, every bone of his is safe; not one of them shall suffer harm.
22

Villainy hastes to its own undoing; the enemies of innocence will bear their punishment.
23

The Lord will claim his servant as his own; they go unreproved that put their trust in him.

May the English Martyrs give us strength

During this dark time, when the Church is besieged on all sides - and from within - by the enemies of Christ, let us draw inspiration from the English martyrs who endured to the end.

This coming Friday, December 10th is the anniversary of  the glorious deaths of Sts. Edmund Gennings and Poydore Plasden. May they pray for us.
