Cardinal Collins: How Toronto's Archbishop has been checkmated and turned into a Pawn

The look of defeat as Cardinal Collins surrenders the Sacred Liturgy to Toronto Public Health

 

 

"Checkmate" declared the pro-abortion Toronto Public Health officials and Cardinal Collins threw in the towel. 

 

"Checkmate" uttered the militantly pro-homosexual Ontario Human Rights Tribunal and Cardinal Collins conceded a loss.

"Checkmate" declared the militant pro-gender ideology Toronto Catholic School Board and Cardinal Collins capitulated.

 

"Checkmate" pontificated masturbation promoter Theresa Tam and Cardinal Collins accepted defeat. 

 

  

So it is that Cardinal Collins, though he may yet wear a bishop's miter, in reality wears the peasant's berretto. 2020 was a year that the COVID crisis exposed the incredibly weak position that Cardinal Collins is in. Tragically, from self-inflicted wounds. As we enter 2021, with the Church in Canada officially committing to  "contribute to a smooth rollout of the [abortion-linked] vaccines" (Catholic Register), the Cardinal has never been in such a weak and compromised position. Surrounded by modernists, dissenters, Bay Street lawyers and moneybags, the Cardinal is a pawn in the game. This is the "new religion" of the idolatrous "god of love" paganism that the "Arch" has created.

 

It brings us no joy to remonstrate the Cardinal for locking us out of our churches, and more recently imposing a de facto "Covid Interdict" and suppressing the Mass; allowing the Catholic Church to be co-opted by government psyop operations to promote abortion-linked (and dangerous experimental) mRNA "vaccines''.

As the Cardinal laments in his homily of February 15, that sin abounds, we are being told (according to the Cardinal's own diocesan newspaper) that  "the Archdiocese is already on board", for "broadcasting information about the vaccines". This includes the abortion linked "vaccines". Do not be fooled friends: if the vaccine had been developed from a gassed Jew, a butchered Cambodian, or a euthanized Canadian, I daresay (at least I hope) there would be an uproar and rigorous denouncements. Or, would they they play the "distance" game and tell us it is OK, because the Jew was gassed in 1944?  Friends, wake up. These people don't care about abortion. They have had 50 years to get serious about abortion, and they have done next to nothing. They may not themselves be pro-abortion, but they are certainly "pro-choice", understood as "I personally am against abortion, but I will do nothing to stop the use of a murdered unborn child to create vaccines". Ultimately, for the poor murdered child, it amounts to the same thing: death. A horrible, painful death of an innocent. And remember, innocent blood cries to Heaven for Vengeance!

Your Eminence, sin is indeed abounding, society is engaged in "canceling" truth and reality; your references to Chesterton are all correct. But what are you doing about it? What are you doing?!

  

A grave error would be for people to think that we are somehow against the Cardinal because we see him as a pawn, a man who - time and again - has taken the knee to those who hate Christ and the Church. We speak out to recall the Cardinal to be a bishop, a "watchman" for the Faith. Did not Cardinal Collins himself raise St. John Fisher' martyrdom upon his installation, and the need to stand up for the Faith? We are but reminding him of this.

 

One hideous example of the Cardinal not standing up to the enemies of Christ, and as a result suffering a crushing defeat, was the all-out attack upon him by dissenting Catholic school Trustees who had broken with the Church and departed from the Faith concerning Christian morality. We opposed placing Catholic education under the godless tyranny of the Absolutist State, and defended have the Cardinal and Catholic education time and again, and we will never stop doing so. Cardinal Collins must be aware that he is scorned and despised by the dissenters at the school Board in Toronto, and the anti-Catholic bosses at the official teachers' Union?

Surely by now, Cardinal Collins must realize that the weakness he consistently shows before bullies will not cause them to withdraw and back down in their attacks on Catholics and the Church. On the contrary, the approach he has taken to Catholic education has, for example, only emboldened the "LGBT" activists, to the degree that they now have formally enshrined transsexualism as part of their educational philosophy. And to add insult to injury, they openly mock the Cardinal on social media, and in interviews with corporate media. As we have noted their position is heretical, and requires a canonical response. The pattern is clear, in every case Cardinal Collins turns from those who would be his friends, defenders, and capitulates to his enemies. He surrenders to aggressive, dissenting, monied parishioners, to gossips, to his lawyers, to modernist bishops and priests, to government money handouts, and to his lay "advisors" (who in day to day operations seem to be running the archdiocese, even "running" priests). St. John Fisher would surrender to none of these people. On the contrary, he would take every action necessary to defend Holy Mother Church.  

Let Cardinal Collins draw inspiration from the indomitable St. Paul (who unceasingly proclaimed the Gospel in the face of brutal persecution visited upon him by his fellow countrymen and Caesar) of whom St. John Chrysostom wrote of in words which the Cardinal himself read just the other week in the Breviary).

"Paul set no store by the things that fill our visible world, any more than a man sets value on the withered grass of the field. As for tyrannical rulers or the people enraged against him, he paid them no more heed than gnats" (Hom. 2 de laudibus sancti Pauli PG 50, 477-480) 

We once again call on Cardinal Collins to reopen our churches and to lift the interdict. To order ALL priests (without exception) to reopen ALL parishes, to restore the Mass.
