Bishop Fellay has addressed a number of issues on the Rome-SSPX talks, including the possibility of SSPX divisions. The article can be read here.
The International SSPX new agency, DICI has also condemned the leak of the private letters exchnaged between the Superior and the other three bishops.
Condemned??? Who's bloddy side is DICI on? Fellay's or the troublesome three?
ReplyDeleteThis is reading more like a soap opera than anything else. One has to ask which of these four are merely playing to the gallery. One also has to point out that the Catholic Church is somewhat larger than the SSPX and that there may be other news worthy of comment.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a fairly significant news item, and the Witness blog is giving it the correct amount of coverage. The end of May should see a resolution of the status of the SSPX and unfortunately, perhaps a significant split in that body. These developments could have effects in the wider Church community. Anyway, the Pope seems to regard this as a significant issue for the Church, I trust his judgement.
