The Priest and the Tabernacle: not to face God while addressing Him is blasphemy

How would you feel if someone spoke to you like this?
Fr. Thomasz Jochemczyk, of the Diocese of Albenga-Imperia, Italy, in a lecture at the International Congress for the Reign of Christ the King, presented in dramatic fashion the spiritual/theological and psychological consequences of the priest saying Mass with his back to Our Lord in the Tabernacle.

Is this not insulting?

Fr. Jochemczyk asks: how would you feel if someone addressed you with their back to you? Is it not an insult? And what are we to make of such a stance - literally - when the priest address Our Lord, turned away from Him? Remember, Jesus Christ is God, He is our King. He is truly and substantially Present in the Tabernacle.

This is how you address someone

Indeed every picture does tell a story!

  1. Well, what does that say about Muslims who show the Almighty their behinds while they bow and pray to a meteorite in the Arabian desert?

We believe in a good argument. That means NO ad hominem attacks. This also includes Pope Francis. Further, referring to him by any other name, may or may not indicate a schismatic attitude, and given the confusion in the Church your comment will NOT be published. Comments are those of the commentators and not those of this blog. You may use a pseudonym... we do... Behave like a guest in our living room and you will be fine.
