Fr. Paul Nicholson:"... whenever an abuser is discovered, whether it be an ecclesiastical bully or even a sexual pervert, the voice of the faithful must sound the alarm..."

  1. Fr. Nicholson touches on something not frequently admitted -- the hollowness of the pre-Vatican II Church. Children perceived their commodification very keenly and greatly distrusted the culture of the time. The sexual revolution was an imposition on the youth by their predatory elders and not their invention as commonly portrayed. The cultural collapse was initiated in the 20s and 30s, not the 60s.

  2. 50s Catholicism contained far too much of cozy Catholicism; it was at the edge of the cliff. When the Council happened, the vast majority of the Church fell off the cliff.

We believe in a good argument. That means NO ad hominem attacks. This also includes Pope Francis. Further, referring to him by any other name, may or may not indicate a schismatic attitude, and given the confusion in the Church your comment will NOT be published. Comments are those of the commentators and not those of this blog. You may use a pseudonym... we do... Behave like a guest in our living room and you will be fine.
