Homosexualist Daniel P Horan, OFM invited by Alberta Catholic Trustees Association

Why the Church has to be tough on homosexuals: to get them to Heaven


Archbishop Blase Cupich and John Cardinal Dew are homosexualists. For all that, Dew's position has received a ringing endorsement from Fr. Thomas Rosica, CSB. But would St. Paul or St. John Chrysostom receive the same? This little essay will explain why not. Readers will understand that homosexual practices are grave violations of chastity [Catechism of the Catholic Church]. Just as a trainer works an athlete hard to be ready to run a good race; so the Church is "hard" on homosexuals, because She loves them and wants them to get to Heaven. The Church is "hard" on homosexuals and tells them the truth: each and every homosexual act is objectively gravely sinful. "Homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered". (Persona Humana, 8). Since the gravity of the sins cannot be diminished, to tamper with language in an age which is individualistic, rebellious and devoted to sexual revolution, will be seen by homosexuals as the Church down-watering her doctrine. Homosexuals seek to have language changed, because they, and their allies want to cause confusion, so that Catholics will not know what the Church teaches, and eventually not care. The gay-liberation movement (so-called) wants to do for sodomy, what the modernists did for the Pill.

Let us now travel back in time. Let us have a quick glance at what the Church had to say in 1975, through Persona humana, and then, travel back further to read what the great Patriarch and Father of the Church, St. John Chrysostom had to say about the abominable evil of homosexuality. 

In the present period, the corruption of morals has increased, and one of the most serious indications of this corruption is the unbridled exaltation of sex. Moreover, through the means of social communication and through public entertainment this corruption has reached the point of invading the field of education and of infecting the general mentality...

...there are those who have put forward concepts and modes of behavior which are contrary to the true moral exigencies of the human person. Some members of the latter group have even gone so far as to favor a licentious hedonism.

As a result, in the course of a few years, teachings, moral criteria and modes of living hitherto faithfully preserved have been very much unsettled, even among Christians. 

So began the introduction to Persona humana, the document on sexual morality released by the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith in the mid 70s. Unfortunately, rather then settle the matter for those who claim to be Christian, this document, as well as the Catechism of the Catholic Church, have been unable to change minds and hearts. One could say that things since 1975 have got considerably worse. What else is one to conclude with priests and lay Catholics promoting (for example) the "homosexual agenda" (that is, whilst officially rejecting "gay marriage" are evasive on other aspects of the "gay subculture"?). If a Catholic claims to oppose "gay marriage", but is silent on the intrinsically evil nature of homosexual acts, what is one to conclude? If a Catholic claims that "gays" "love" each other, and that homosexual relationships cannot be compared to other evils, what are we think? 

If Catholics march in "gay Pride Parades", thereby giving public affirmation, what are we to deduce? Fr. Dariusz Oko, has termed the new proposals that obfuscate the evil of homosexuality as a "homoheresy" or "gender-ideology". The Polish Bishops Conference has dealt with this in a well reasoned Pastoral Letter dated the 2013 Feast of the Holy Family. The "homoheresy" is a gnostic ideology that claims that "gay is good", that homosexuality is simply another expression of love... In fact, homosexuals are usually deeply psychologically disturbed individuals - many have been sexually abused as children or young boys - many being raised in an all female environment, with absent fathers and strong male figures. Fundamentally, homosexual impulses (for whatever reason - be it psychological illness or demonic influence) are driven by phallic worship. Homosexuality is a sex cult. We can expect increases in homosexuality where the true God is no longer worshiped, where feminism is exalted, where child abuse and sexual license is  advocated. 

Persona humana distinguishes between those who have undertaken a homosexual lifestyle as a deliberate moral choice, and those who may be suffering from some sort of psychological pathology. Whatever the case,  "no pastoral method can be employed which would give moral justification to these acts on the grounds that they would be consonant with the condition of such people. For according to the objective moral order, homosexual relations are acts which lack an essential and indispensable finality. In Sacred Scripture they are condemned as a serious depravity and even presented as the sad consequence of rejecting God".

St. John Chrysostom, in his series of Homilies on Romans provides us with a detailed theological exposition on why homosexuality is one of the most evil of sins; why it is and forever remains one of the "four sins that cry to heaven for vengeance". Catholics need to see the world from God's perspective, not theirs. Some may, out of a sense of misguided compassion, wish to downplay Church teaching on the intrinsic evil of homosexual acts; some may wish to dismiss, out of hand, those who adhere to the Church as "fanatics"; others, even clergy, may pander in various ways with the "gay liberation" movement - in all of this a betrayal of Christ and His Church can be seen. We can no more pander to other sins, than to the sin of homosexuality. Certainly, culpability of some may be minimal due to a subjective psychological condition, but objectively each and every homosexual act is intrinsically evil.

The Church, via the Catechism of the Catholic Church states that temptations towards homosexuality constitute a trial; it is for these people that we are called upon to show compassion. "This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity" (n 2358). The Church does not ask us to respect sinful actions, nor to encourage those who engage in an aggressive public manifestation of homosexuality as a form of "liberation", or would seek to change civil legislation that would promote positive evil. Thus, the Church forbids not only "gay marriage", but also, "civil unions". 

The evil of homosexuality does not grow in a vacuum. The Patriarch of Constantinople demonstrates how it is that "ungodliness" and the rejection of truth that leads to men becoming "fools". And from this great conceit in a false wisdom, and refusal to follow the way of God, humanity would be given up to uncleaness and lusts of the heart.... ultimately these would exchange truth (e.g. marriage being between a man and a woman) for a lie (psuedo "gay marriage") and so on. In all of this, they reject the Creator and serve the creature. They become idolators. Homosexuality is, ultimately, a perverted sexual manifestation of self-idolatry, self-worship. It is, as the saint will say, "satanical", as it is at heart, blasphemy. 

In Book Four of his Homilies, the holy Patriarch provides us with a detailed exposition of the verse 1, 26, 27:

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one towards another.

The saint continues: 


They changed the truth of God for a lie. And with regard to the men again, he shows the same thing by saying, Leaving the natural use of the woman. And in a like way with those, these he also puts out of all means of defending themselves by charging them not only that they had the means of gratification, and left that which they had, and went after another, but that having dishonored that which was natural, they ran after that which was contrary to nature. But that which is contrary to nature has in it an irksomeness and displeasingness, so that they could not fairly allege even pleasure. For genuine pleasure is that which is according to nature. But when God has left one, then all things are turned upside down. And thus not only was their doctrine Satanical, but their life too was diabolical.

And reflect too how significantly he uses his words. For he does not say that they were enamoured of, and lusted after one another, but, they burned in their lust one toward another...

...For there is not, there surely is not, a more grievous evil than this insolent dealing. For if when discoursing about fornication Paul said, that Every sin which a man does is without the body, but he that commits fornication sins against his own body (1 Corinthians 6:18); what shall we say of this madness, which is so much worse than fornication as cannot even be expressed? For I should not only say that you have become a woman, but that you have lost your manhood, and hast neither changed into that nature nor kept that which you had, but you have been a traitor to both of them at once, and deserving both of men and women to be driven out and stoned, as having wronged either sex. And that you may learn what the real force of this is, if any one were to come and assure you that he would make you a dog instead of being a man, would you not flee from him as a plague? But, lo! You have not made yourself a dog out of a man, but an animal more disgraceful than this.

...But nothing can there be more worthless than a man who has pandered himself. For not the soul only, but the body also of one who has been so treated, is disgraced, and deserves to be driven out everywhere. How many hells shall be enough for such? But if you scoff at hearing of hell and believest not that fire, remember Sodom. For we have seen, surely we have seen, even in this present life, a semblance of hell. For since many would utterly disbelieve the things to come after the resurrection, hearing now of an unquenchable fire, God brings them to a right mind by things present. For such is the burning of Sodom, and that conflagration! And they know it well that have been at the place, and have seen with their eyes that scourge divinely sent, and the effect of the lightnings from above. (Jude 7)

Consider how great is that sin, to have forced hell to appear even before its time! ...

And what is there more detestable than a man who has pandered himself, or what more execrable? Oh, what madness! Oh, what distraction! Whence came this lust lewdly revelling and making man's nature all that enemies could?

Franciscan "LGBT ministry" held event at infamous gay bar, "Stonewall"



St. Francis of Assisi Church, New York City (run by the Franciscans of Holy Name Province), operates a dissenting "LGBT ministry".  This "ministry" has, for a number of years, organized events at a number of gay bars, such as the Stonewall Inn

Such pro-"LGBT ministries" are extremely dangerous, misleading and not approved by the Church. Gay bars are hardly the place a person with same-sex attraction would go to if they were taking living a chaste life seriously. The absolute necessity for living chastely and avoiding grave sin is stressed in the Catechism of the Catholic Church: 

2357 ... homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered. They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.

2358. Homosexuals are called to chastity...

2396 Among the sins gravely contrary to chastity are masturbation, fornication, pornography, and homosexual practices.

Friends, the Franciscan involvement in the NYC gay scene is one to be exposed and condemned in the strongest possible terms.

Militant homosexuals take over the Archdiocese of New York City

Joseph Sciambra carries a shocking report of an "LGBT" so-called "Catholic" event being organized by Out at St. Paul (a pro-homosexual group run out of St. Paul the Apostle church) at a notorious gay bar that features drag events. "Rise", one of the "top ten gay bars" in NYC, also was used by the Homo-Franciscans for their "Mardi Gras" social event in 2017. 

Sciambra writes: 


this is not the first time that OSP [Out at St. Paul] hosted an official gathering at a local gay bar. On March 22, 2017, OSP held their “Spring Social” at another notorious gay bar: “Bottoms Up.” Coincidently, a separate gay-affirmative Catholic LGBT outreach, also in the Archdiocese of New York, from St. Francis of Assisi Church, hosted their annual “Mardi Gras” party at Rise bar on February 28, 2017.

I have previously reported on the strange activities of the Homo-Franciscans, here, here, here, and here. One of them even opined openly in favour of homosexual activity:

The Church’s limited view of human sexuality, which is placed at the service of procreation and confined within the boundaries of sacramental marriage, therefore effectively prohibits LGBT persons from expressing the fullness of their humanity by excluding them from participating in healthy, generative relationships and mutual expressions of love...

...In order for the Catholic Church to truly rectify its complicity with the violence and injustices leveled against the LGBT community, a wholesale reevaluation of its stance on homosexuality, the dignity of individual persons, and “unjust discrimination” is required.

Daniel P. Horan OFM unloads expletive-riddled tirade on Twitter: Calls pro-life marchers: "Pseudo-prophets..."

Daniel P. Horan OFM., of the dissenting Holy Name Province has opined on the vast throng who have turned up in Washington. D.C for the "March for Life". 




Horan tweeted out a tirade of hate-filled statements, one even including an expletive in a self-styled "prayer". Horan goes on to accuse those who defend the unborn as indulging in "selective ________". 

This explosion of emotional anger is the true Horan: hate-filled, narcissistic, spiteful, elitist, privileged - a typical liberal white man. These are not holy words and thoughts one would expect from a follower of St. Francis. 

In a short article, Horan wrote in 2014, entitled, "The Intimate Journey of Relationship with God", he wrote of St. Francis thus: 
He would embrace those people thought to be unembraceable and love those that no one else dared to love: the poor, the sick, the forgotten, the outcast.

I guess those were just nice words as Horan prepared for his PhD. Horan has no love for pro-life marchers: no embrace, no love: only hate. 



What about the children who were rescued from abortion, who walk in the "March for Life". What about the women who have had abortions and suffer because of their "choice", who walk in the "March for Life". What about parents who have lost daughters, who died from supposed, "safe, legal" abortions, who walk in the "March for Life". What abut the couples who cannot adopt, because there are no children to adopt...?


And what about Mary Wagner, who CANNOT walk in the "March for Life" because she is in prison for her pro-life beliefs in Canada?

The Vatican infiltrated by Freemasonry?




Archbishop Stanisław Gądecki stated on his blog, just over two years ago, regarding the meetings at the Synod of the Family, that the spirit of freemasonry was afoot amongst many of the bishops with regards to dialogue, and their secular view of the world: 

 "the dialogue on human rights is from the point of view of the illuminati of the 19th century." 

Dear friends, I ask you to reconsider these words by the Archbishop taking into consideration the release of the materially heretical "Amoris Latitia", the various scandalous statements coming from Rome, the ongoing homosexual crisis in the clergy (are Freemasons using homosexual clergy to advance the destruction of the Church?), the strange statements by churchmen to politicians and at the UN, etc. 

I ask you to seriously consider the role and influence of Freemasonry, considering the recent announcements of the Secretary of State, Cardinal Parolin about the "church of the new paradigm".  Just what is this "church" the eminent Cardinal speaks of? A protestant "church"? masonic "church"?

Whether Cardinal Parolin wears the apron, we do not know. What we do know is he speaks and acts like a Freemason. We know, as the day to day manager of the Church, he sits back and does nothing as the destroyers run free. 

International Freemasonry has sought to infiltrate the Catholic Church for decades. Can we forget the Alta Vendita, or the marches of Freemasons in Rome during 1917, where a young Fr. Maximilian Kolbe reported that the Freemasons boasted of infiltrating the Vatican and turning the Pope into their "errand boy"? Can Catholics forget the power of the P2 Lodge, that contained the names of high ranking churchmen?

Let us not be deluded: Our Lord Jesus Christ has real enemies. These Masons have infiltrated the Church. The devil uses every trick in the book to lie and deceive us: Judaism and its offspring, Islam, political Zionism, Liberalism, Socialism, Communism, Capitalism, Globalism, Protestantism, Ecumenism, Environmentalism, Religious Liberty, the Occult, the Sexual Revolution - and so on. The devil never runs out of lies to deceive.

I can now report that during the Morning  Session discussions of Group A (Italicus) on October 8th, 2015, the influence of Freemasonry was raised. The  incident was recorded by Archbishop Stanisław Gądecki on his blog. The fact that Synod Fathers are raising the issue of Freemasonry helps explain the blasphemies, the heresies, the cloud of dark confusion and evil that surrounds the machinations of a group of churchmen intent on overturning the unchangeable teaching of Our Lord Jesus Christ on Holy Matrimony and human sexuality. 

Specifically, Archbishop Gądecki noted that there were Synod Fathers in Italicus A who were concerned that  the spirit of masonic influence had infected sections of  the Instrumentum Laboris. 

It is very reasonable to consider that the spirit of Antichrist dwells in the hearts and souls of some of the men who stroll the marble halls of Vatican City. False shepherds, wolves in sheep's clothing, seeking to lead the Flock astray. Vade retro me Satana!

Br. Robert Lentz: Homo-Franciscan Iconographer for "Holy Name Province" who glorifies a Pedophile

Holy Name Province of the Franciscans (in reality, Homo-Franciscans) is a hive of homosexual and pro-homosexual propaganda. On Facebook members of this evil Province openly promote and excuse homosexuality; openly mock and deride Church teaching about the intrinsic evil of homosexual activity.

As with all homosexuals, they love luxury. Are you aware, dear readers, of the real estate value of the Homo-Franciscan properties: in the hundreds of millions of dollars? Just consider their one church in mid-town Manhattan.

The American Prophet, Joseph Sciambra, has just denounced the evils of James Martin SJ. Here, Joseph exposes Martin - once again - trying to seduce the ignorant, the confused, the psychologically disturbed into a life of debauched evil.

"Br" Robert Lentz, the iconographer for the Homo-Franciscans, even dared to paint an image (see above) of the evil, vicious, promiscuous  homosexual and pedophile, Harvey Milk! If you do not believe me about Milk, look it up.  

Lentz, an admitted homosexual, is an evil influence on the younger recruits into Holy Name Province who have same-sex attraction. Lentz, even portrayed Our Blessed Lord as a "horned god"; in essence Bahomet. This shows us how homosexuality and the satanic are intertwined. 

To conclude, what does this say about the Holy Name Province leadership? 

What does it say about Fr. Kevin Mullen OFM, who allows the promotion of homosexuality in churches controlled by his Province? A Province that accepts open dissenters, promoting the "LGTB" agenda? A Province that has priests waving "gay" rainbow flags?

A sermon by St. John Chrysostom on the evils of homosexuality: "For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections..."



For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one towards another.
Romans I. 26, 27

All these affections then were vile, but chiefly the mad lust after males; for the soul is more the sufferer in sins, and more dishonored, than the body in diseases. But behold how here too, as in the case of the doctrines, he deprives them of excuse, by saying of the women, that they changed the natural use. For no one, he means, can say that it was by being hindered of legitimate intercourse that they came to this pass, or that it was from having no means to fulfil their desire that they were driven into this monstrous insaneness. For the changing implies possession. Which also when discoursing upon the doctrines he said, They changed the truth of God for a lie. And with regard to the men again, he shows the same thing by saying, Leaving the natural use of the woman. And in a like way with those, these he also puts out of all means of defending themselves by charging them not only that they had the means of gratification, and left that which they had, and went after another, but that having dishonored that which was natural, they ran after that which was contrary tonature. But that which is contrary to nature has in it an irksomeness and displeasingness, so that they could not fairly allege even pleasure. For genuine pleasure is that which is according to nature. But when God has left one, then all things are turned upside down. And thus not only was their doctrine Satanical, but their life too was diabolical... 

... and next, having reproached the women first, he goes on to the men also, and says, And likewise also the men leaving the natural use of the woman. Which is an evident proof of the last degree of corruptness, when both sexes are abandoned, and both he that was ordained to be the instructor of the woman, and she who was bid to become an helpmate to the man, work the deeds of enemies against one another. And reflect too how significantly he uses his words. For he does not say that they were enamoured of, and lusted after one another, but, they burned in their lust one toward another. You see that the whole of desire comes of an exorbitancy which endures not to abide within its proper limits. For everything which transgresses the laws by God appointed, lusts after monstrous things and not those which be customary.... But if you say, and whence came this intensity of lust? It was from the desertion of God: and whence is the desertion of God? From the lawlessness of them that left Him; men with men working that which is unseemly. Do not, he means, because you have heard that they burned, suppose that the evil was only in desire. For the greater part of it came of their luxuriousness, which also kindled into flame their lust. And this is why he did not say being swept along or being overtaken, an expression he uses elsewhere; but what? Working. They made a business of the sin, and not only a business, but even one zealously followed up...

...For when the Devil saw that this desire it is, principally, which draws the sexes together, he was bent on cutting through the tie, so as to destroy the race, not only by their not copulating lawfully, but also by their being stirred up to war, and in sedition against one another.

And receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. See how he goes again to the fountain head of the evil, namely, the impiety that comes of their doctrines, and this he says is a reward of that lawlessness. 

...in the case of the one the intercourse, even if lawless, is yet according to nature: but this is contrary both to law and nature. For even if there were no hell, and no punishment had been threatened, this were worse than any punishment. Yet if you say they found pleasure in it, you tell me what adds to the vengeance. For suppose I were to see a person running naked, with his body all besmeared with mire, and yet not covering himself, but exulting in it, I should not rejoice with him, but should rather bewail that he did not even perceive that he was doing shamefully. But that I may show the atrocity in a yet clearer light, bear with me in one more example. Now if any one condemned a virgin to live in close dens (θαλομευομένην), and to have intercourse with unreasoning brutes, and then she was pleased with such intercourse, would she not for this be especially a worthy object of tears, as being unable to be freed from this misery owing to her not even perceiving the misery? It is plain surely to every one. But if that were a grievous thing, neither is this less so than that. ... And name what sin you will, none will you mention equal to this lawlessness. And if they that suffer such things perceived them, they would accept ten thousand deaths so they might not suffer this evil. For there is not, there surely is not, a more grievous evil than this insolent dealing.

And they know it well that have been at the place, and have seen with their eyes that scourge divinely sent, and the effect of the lightnings from above. (Jude 7) Consider how great is that sin, to have forced hell to appear even before its time! For whereas many thought scorn of His words, by His deeds did God show them the image thereof in a certain novel way. For that rain was unwonted, for that the intercourse was contrary to nature, and it deluged the land, since lust had done so with their souls. Wherefore also the rain was the opposite of the customary rain. Now not only did it fail to stir up the womb of the earth to the production of fruits, but made it even useless for the reception of seed. For such was also the intercourse of the men, making a body of this sort more worthless than the very land of Sodom. And what is there more detestable than a man who has pandered himself, or what more execrable? Oh, what madness! Oh, what distraction! 

Whence came this lust lewdly revelling and making man's nature all that enemies could? Or even worse than that, by as much as the soul is better than the body. Oh, you that were more senseless than irrational creatures, and more shameless than dogs! For in no case does such intercourse take place with them, but nature acknowledges her own limits. But you have even made our race dishonored below things irrational, by such indignities inflicted upon and by each other. Whence then were these evilsborn? Of luxury; of not knowing God. For so soon as any have cast out the fear of Him, all that is good straightway goes to ruin.

Now, that this may not happen, let us keep clear before our eyes the fear of God. For nothing, surely nothing, so ruins a man as to slip from this anchor, as nothing saves so much as continually looking thereto. For if by having a man before our eyes we feel more backward at doing sins, and often even through feeling abashed at servants of a better stamp we keep from doing anything amiss, consider what safety we shall enjoy by having God before our eyes! For in no case will the Devil attack us when so conditioned, in that he would be laboring without profit. But should he see us wandering abroad, and going about without a bridle, by getting a beginning in ourselves he will be able to drive us off afterwards any whither. 

... Do not now, I pray, look at their raiment, but open their soul, and consider if it is not full of countless wounds, and clad with rags, and destitute, and defenceless! What then is the use of this madness of shows? For it were much better to be poor and living in virtue, than to be a king with wickedness; since the poor man in himself enjoys all the delights of the soul, and does not even perceive his outward poverty for his inward riches. But the king, luxurious in those things which do not at all belong to him, is punished in those things which are his most real concern, even the soul, the thoughts, and the conscience, which are to go away with him to the other world. Since then we know these things, let us lay aside the gilded raiment, let us take up virtue and the pleasure which comes thereof. For so, both here and hereafter, shall we come to enjoy great delights, through the grace and love towards man of our Lord Jesus Christ, through Whom, and with Whom, be glory to the Father, with the Holy Spirit, for ever and ever.
