We are called to love God with our whole heart, our whole soul, and with our whole mind. In our profession of faith we say “I Believe”. That belief gives us the desire for God. It is written in the human heart, because man is created by God and for God, who never ceases to draw man to himself. Only in God will man find the truth and happiness he never stops searching for. To believe and to love God, we have to know and to love him with all our heart. To Love God with our whole being should be such as to make us lay down our life for him, just as the Saints and Martyrs did in the past. Oh how wonderful a love like this for God is, how deep, how passionate, that we would die rather than offend our God, Our only true love. In this true love we are called to die to self and to live in Christ. Christ is our life, Christ is our goal, and the goal is to win Eternal Life with Christ in Heaven. Our searching then is to be one with Jesus in God. Jesus Christ is Love. He loves unconditionally and calls us to that same Love. So, how can we love with the love of Christ? We can lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters in this world, especially those who are trying to do God’s work in this life.
Let me quote from the Catechism (1691):
“Christian, recognise your dignity and, now that you share in God’s own nature, do not return to your former base condition, by sinning. Remember who is your head and of whose body you are a member. Never forget that you have been rescued from the power of darkness and brought into the light of the Kingdom of God.”
So my brothers and sisters, love unconditionally as Christ did and love your neighbour as yourself.

We believe in a good argument. That means NO ad hominem attacks. This also includes Pope Francis. Further, referring to him by any other name, may or may not indicate a schismatic attitude, and given the confusion in the Church your comment will NOT be published. Comments are those of the commentators and not those of this blog. You may use a pseudonym... we do... Behave like a guest in our living room and you will be fine.
