"Liberty, Equality and Fraternity"?
I think not.
I prefer Our Lord Jesus Christ and His most Blessed Mother.
More information can be read here on the Grand Orient de France lamenting the passing of a number of brothers who were prominent in the revolutionary, libertine and blasphemous, "Charlie Hebdo".
"...above all others a certain sect of darkness is engaged, a sect which human society these many years carries within itself and which like a deadly poison destroys its happiness, its fecundity, and its life...all will recognize in these traits the society of Freemasons...Full of the spirit of Satan who, according to the words of the Apostle, knows how to transform hinself at need into an angel of light, it gives prominence to its humanitarian object, but it sacrifices everything to its sectarian purpose... it exercises the most profound action on the legislative and administrative life of the nations, and while loudly professing its respect for authority and even for religion, has for its ultimate purpose the ...destruction of all authority as well as of the priesthood, both of which it holds up as the enemies of liberty". Leo XIII, Review of the Pontificate, 1902.
"Pope Benedict, in an address I cannot recall well [c.f. the Regensburg Address] had spoken of this post-positivist mindset, of this post-positivist metaphysics that led, in the end, to believe that all religions, or all religious expressions, are a kind of sub-culture: they are tolerated, but they are irrelevant, they are not in the culture of the Enlightenment. This is a legacy of the Enlightenment". Pope Francis, Inflight Press Conference to Manila, 2015
When I first read this, I missed your point -- Charlie Hebdo and his magazine was run by Free Masons? Do you mean to say that Muslims killed Free Masons? This is incredible. I couldn't imagine such a thing. And in their French post they call the Muslims "barbarians"??? I would say that's like the pot calling the kettle black. Both are barbarians. Yet I weep over the death of the French "barbarians." Whatever they did, no one deserves murder, not even CAIN. God bless you. Susan Fox www.christsfaithfulwitness.com
