An Islamist rebel group - an eventual American ally due to Obama's deranged plan to attack Syria - has launched a hideous attack on Maalula, Syria. St. Paul himself visited there - the historical and spiritual value
for us Christians is incalculable.
From Vatican Insider:
On Wednesday 4 September, Syrian Islamist militia
group Jahbat al-Nusra – which is tied to al-Qaeda – attacked the
Christian village of Maalula, 56 kilometres north-east of Damascus.
According to the reconstruction given by the London-based Syrian
Observatory for Human Rights – an organisation that is close to the
Syrian opposition – a Syrian army checkpoint at the entrance to
the village was apparently taken by Islamist militia thanks partly to a
suicide bombing. An Orthodox nun issued an anonymous statement to
international some news agencies, confirming that Islamists in the
mountains surrounding Maalula have been firing on the town since
yesterday.

We believe in a good argument. That means NO ad hominem attacks. This also includes Pope Francis. Further, referring to him by any other name, may or may not indicate a schismatic attitude, and given the confusion in the Church your comment will NOT be published. Comments are those of the commentators and not those of this blog. You may use a pseudonym... we do... Behave like a guest in our living room and you will be fine.
