Blogger Forsakes Vatican
Yep... take a look at the link on the right called Papal Encyclicals Online. The first thing you need to know is that it isn't a Vatican site. Except where they must link to the Vatican website to display current encyclicals the documents are offered in a much more readable format. Moreover many of the earlier documents are available in common e reader formats. Now those who wish to read the documents in their favorite device can do so instead of squinting at the vatican.va texts with their headache inducing faux parchment. Interested in the Council of Chalcedon and the difference between Eastern Orthodox and Oriental Orthodox? That's here too. Oh yeah... they have the appropriate permissions.

We believe in a good argument. That means NO ad hominem attacks. This also includes Pope Francis. Further, referring to him by any other name, may or may not indicate a schismatic attitude, and given the confusion in the Church your comment will NOT be published. Comments are those of the commentators and not those of this blog. You may use a pseudonym... we do... Behave like a guest in our living room and you will be fine.
Isn't "forsakes" a word of negative connotations? Can you clarify your title Freyr? I'm always on the lookout for "uber-traddie/angry trad" sites to AVOID and ensure I don't become part of the fan club.
ReplyDeleteActually Barona tends to like controversial headlines so I thought I would throw him one just for fun. My apologies for the confusion. The website is quite good though and much more inviting than the vatican.va site.
ReplyDeletelol! Thanks. Yeah interestingly it has a number of documents NOT on the vatican website. Makes me wonder whether it's just poor housekeeping or a liberal conspiracy at the Vatican.
ReplyDeleteThe blog further balances out with Montfort and Santa liking no headlines...
ReplyDelete... and Freyr prefers enigmatic headlines....
