More martyrdom in Nigeria

News has reached me across the transom that the violence in Nigeria continues apace. As was the case last June, I have seen little Catholic media attention on it. This time, a priest was shot point-blank by terrorists and his parish rectory set ablaze this past Sunday. A second priest at the same location escaped, albeit seriously injured, and has come forward with his account. Many thanks to The Pillar for your diligence.

Grant eternal rest, O Lord, to the soul of Fr. Isaac Achi, and may he, through Your mercy, rest in peace.

May your persistent push for peace and healing of past wounds now be heard by Nigeria.
